The following are details of any current and future scheduled road and gate closures in the Phoenix Park.
Sunday 21st July 2024 – Irish Runner 10 Mile Race
Roads to be closed to vehicular traffic:
Chesterfield Avenue (Phoenix to Mountjoy Roundabout) will be Closed from 9.00pm on Saturday 20th July until 2.00pm on Sunday 21st July
Ordnance Survey Road Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Military Road Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Upper Glen Road Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Acres Road Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Wellington Road Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Furze Road (Top Section) Sunday 9.00am – 2.00pm
Gates to be closed:
Castleknock Gate Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Islandbridge Gate Sunday 8.00am – 10.30am
Chapelizod Gate Sunday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Knockmaroon Gate will be Closed from 11.00pm on Saturday 20th July until 12.00pm on Sunday 21st July.
Access to St. Mary’s Hospital and Cara Cheshire Home will be unaffected. Parking only permitted in areas agreed with Organisers.
All roads and gates will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Saturday 24th August 2024 – Dublin City Triathlon
Roads to be closed to vehicular traffic:
Acres Road Saturday 7.00am – 2.00pm
Wellington Road Saturday 7.00am – 2.00pm
Chesterfield Avenue, from Phoenix Monument to Mountjoy Cross, will be closed from 9.00pm on Friday 23rd August to 2.00pm on Saturday 24th August
Furze Road will be closed from 9pm on Friday 23rd August to 2pm on Saturday 24th August
Upper Glen Road will be closed from 9pm on Friday 23rd August to 2pm on Sat 24th August
Gates to be closed:
Islandbridge Gate Saturday 7.00am – 4.00pm
Chapelizod Gate will be closed from 11pm on Friday 23rd August to 4pm on Sat 24th August
The Papal Cross car park will be closed.
Access to St. Mary’s Hospital and Cara Cheshire Home will be via Acres Road.
Parking only permitted in areas agreed with Organisers. All roads and gates will re-open as soon as safe to do so.

North Road One-Way System
From 10am Monday 28th February 2022, the North Road will commence a one-way system, in the City direction only, for the duration of a 9-month pilot study.

Upper Glen Road cul-de-sac
From 10am Monday 28th February 2022 the Upper Glen Road will commence a 9-month pilot cul-de-sac
